Momo

Ring-tailed lemur, Lemur catta
Female (spayed)
Born: ~April 2010
Arrival:  16 April 2016
Transfer to DART: 8 January 2021

Momo lived in a parrot cage for three years before her arrival due to being aggressive toward the people who kept her as a pet. She had visible muscle atrophy upon arrival and could not climb or jump normally. After specialized physical and behavioral rehabilitation, she now moves about like a normal lemur and has become very socially savvy as the dominant female in her group. She is closely bonded to Lulu and they are often seen sharing a hammock. In January 2021 Momo transferred to our partner organization, Duette Animal Rescue Team, with Lulu and Sour Patch. They continue to thrive in professional care there.
